The Global Organization of Multi-Day Ultramarathoners (GOMU) is pleased to announce a strengthened partnership with the World Runners Association (WRA). 

Who They Are: 

World Runners Association (WRA): Serves as the sole international authority for the verification of World Runs and Walks. The WRA governs the technical criteria for circumnavigation, including mandatory GPS data, continuous directional flow, and multi-continent transit requirements.

While GOMU focuses on the technical standards and record-keeping for competitive multi-day racing, the WRA is the recognized authority for the verification of global circumnavigations. 

This collaboration marks a significant milestone in the world of extreme endurance, providing athletes with a clear, unified path for the recognition of competitive multi-day racing and world-scale journey runs.

By endorsing the WRA’s specialized expertise in world-run verification, we ensure that every athlete—whether a racer or a journey runner—has a home that honors their specific discipline.
